Some of my recent AL DB updates

Postby Mug UK » Sun Sep 28, 2008 4:19 pm

Database changes (26th - 29th September 2008)

Scans etc.
Dragon Scape - all credits added (graphics, code & box artist) - plus box scan and manual PDF'd
Rock N Roll Clams - all credits added - plus box scan (manual also PDF'd) & company logo added
Populous - US box scan added but is a bit small so might re-do it :)
Albedo - box scan uploaded
Q-Ball - box scan uploaded (and manual PDF'd)
Huckleberry Hound - box scan uploaded (and manual PDF'd)
Pixie & Dixie - box scan uploaded (and manual PDF'd)
Murders in Space - box scan uploaded (way too much inside the box to scan in!)
Prince - box scan uploaded
Albedo - box scan uploaded

Other DB fixes
Iraky - fixed category
Ynis Wintrin - added category & that it's a STOS game
Eat Your Words - added category, Design & Programming credits added (same person)
Slug Blast - added programmer/graphics & developer (all are Terry King!)
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Part 2 of today's updates were:

Fixes
Knight Orc - Screenshots were too big - fixed

Uploaded box scans

Circus Attractions (Golden Goblins)
Grand Monster Slam (Golden Goblins)
The Final Battle (PSS)

Questron II (SSI)
Wizard's Crown (SSI)
Rings Of Zilfin (SSI)
Warship (SSI)

Hawkeye (Thalamus)
Armalyte (Thalamus)
(also added the Thalamus company logo)

Austerlitz (Mirrorsoft)
Waterloo (PSS)

A Question Of Sport (Elite)
Tournament Golf (Elite) - removed unnecessary screenshot as it didn't show much!
Gremlins 2 (Elite)
Ghosts N Goblins (Elite) - also removed corrupted screenshot

Teenage Queen (Erbe)

New firm added: Rainbow Educational
and new educational title added: Shapes and Colours (along with box scan) - will add some screenshots when I've made a PASTI/MSA of the disk(s).

More to do tomorrow. Trying out my "bog standard" scanner via Picasa to see if it's easier to do the boxes via this scanner and then the manuals with the other specialised scanners downstairs.

Yeah, it's always good to see updates on games I haven't heard of. Now I have to check 'em out.

I did a bunch of box scans yesterday and will uploading them soon. Most of them are missing from AL, but a few are alternates.

The more the merrier .. really must update the "missing boxscans" list and make it a bit more public so that anyone who can help, can see which ones we're missing.
