STOS TOME Extension?

Postby OverlordMRK » Tue Dec 12, 2017 10:22 am

Hi all, I'm curious to know if anyone here has the full version of the STOS TOME Extension, plus any manual/docs that would have come with it?

Exxos's site doesn't have the complete version, and I can't seem to find it anywhere currently. Would appreciate it if anyone can post up a link to a disk image?

Hi!
I've never heard of this extension until now... what (roughly) did it do?

Tom.

It looks like it provided better map/tile handling? The Missing Link extension is the best way to go for this anyway from what I can see, I was just curious to see what TOME was like.

I did find a page related to the AMOS version of TOME:

Hi,
It's a map designer. I have TOME21.EXT but it's only 3581 bytes long. It may have been on an Automation Disk but with no docs.

Here's more info:
http://www.ultimateamiga.co.uk/HostedPr ... age66.html
I haven't got the mentioned editor. Presumably it was on 2 single sided disks. This is one to look out for on ebay.
I vaguely remember Colin saying it was "very poor" and that Misty was much better.

I got the STOS Compiler last month for £1.75 on eBay - just to have an original!
Of course as mentioned on this forum before it causes 2 bombs everywhere unless you run compiler.acb in STOS and STOS 2.06 at least for STE compatibility. It's very odd that the RSPCA in Luton have sold 2 STOS Compilers with Discovery Pack STOS Manuals and STOS - The Game Creator (Big Box Edition) in recent months.
Still got, still working: Atari 4Mb STe, 520STFM, 2.5Mb STF.
Hardware: Cumana CSA 354, Ultimate Ripper, Blitz Turbo, Synchro Express II (US and UK Versions).
