Missing Link docs?

Postby darkhog » Wed Jan 13, 2016 4:43 pm

Anyone has them? Because I got it, but have no idea how to actually work this thing.

OOoh! Useful stuff. If you don't mind, I'll grab that, as I've been guessing (and using the sample code) how to do some stuff so far. Thanks! :)

The one command I'm interested in is the "world" command, which does scrolltext. It seems simple enough, but I want to build a memory bank to use a different font from the one supplied.

Not at all. Its for anoyone that cares to use it lol..

As far as WORLD for scrolltext goes, Are you not using the MAP/WORLD system in conjunction with each other? i.e using sprites that are converted to maps blocks and then using WORLD? There is a program called MAKE that converts between the differing file formats and I also recommend EDDIE Program in TOOLS for building maps, not the interpreted BAS one.

I've a couple of projects on the go to be honest, one huge one thats just been started, my FROGGER game thats nearly complete and a SNDH player that has become a nightmare..

"Make" won't load the memory-bank used by the scrolltext example (just goes boom). I'll have to check as to whether there's any documentation to "Eddy" and try that.

Thanks,

aah... so, maybe compressed? or another DATA type? not sure about that one..

The docs are in that file i uploaded in a folder called docs should be the "eddie.doc"

I just uploaded a DEMO in the STOS thread that shows the MAKE/MAP/WORLD system working nicely... although only 128 pixels in height
