MP3 replay rout call in GFA for Falcon 030

Postby hylst » Fri Aug 09, 2013 12:10 pm

Hello !!

Glad 2 see ATARI FORUM is still quite active ! =)
I have not code GFA since the "big defeat" I made with maximum vbl ( and 6 previous demo i finished 15 years after 6 months earlier for the Japanim megademo). But i'll try to make things better, more experienced as casual 'coder' / 'graphist' / 'musician'.
Lot of projects, few time like most of us...

One project is a music disk for Falcon, in MP3.
So i'm looking for a rout to do it, that could be called with gfa (to add little fx & effects already coded in gfa past years), otherwise, i would use asm.

Does anyone know about such a rout ?

Thanks !

No answer ?
I think i'll use mp2 replay rout by someone that i cannot remember for the moment & asm to do it, even if mp2 is voluminous.

I have not seen an MP3 replay yet which can be used from other programming languages. There is a replay software somewhere that can replay MP3s on a stock Falcon.

Codingwise, there is only MP2 (note the difference!) but officially there is no GFABASIC interface yet. Maybe Cooper / Paradize has something like that hidden in his treasure chest, he didn't tell me yet so you should ask him

As you already gathered various interessant gfa routs, i think it doesn't exist. Didier Mequignon or author of Falcamp do not seem to have spreaded such sources after fast google research. Thank you for your answer. i'll send Cooper a message to ask in case.
