Postby ThorN » Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:31 pm

This time it's another Psygnosis game called Ork. Don't know it so far, so it will be interesting to play it.

Here are some Informations from Atarimania about Ork

Final Table
1. Xerus 61050
2. ThorN 8620
3. SSB 8100

My first game ended with about 2850 points and 6% of the game solved. We have to see if we get better ways to do a screenshot of the scores. So far the percentage of the solution is the only method I saw.

Found a key, but was not able to turn the lever.

The game looks nice a all pysgnosis games, but the playablility of their jump & runs haven't changed since Barbarian I :-)

But its interesting to explore the level.

How far do we play? Over at the first "Continue?" screen?

If so, my first score was about 8100 points.

Except for the sound, the game has something. It looks really ok for ST standards and the 8 way scrolling is even if a bit laggy not as worse as on other ST ports.

Got 8620 still in Level 2. Had no fuel left, cause I did not found the round thing.

No need skill in this game but you must use your brain because there are some puzzles.
It's strange because I reached 99% (i hope to finish it) but I'm only at the end of stage 3 !

Normal 80-20 rule is such that you complete 80% of the game (easy part) in 20% of the time but last 20% (the difficult part) you spend 80% of the total time.
But for this game... 99-1 rule.... ????

Ok, there are other levels, phew !
Maybe it's the percentage for the level where we were but I have my doubts...
The onboard computer seems to give the true percentage bu there are some probably failures:

a little further the % is below...

My new score : 61050 (last level)

Cool Xerus. Really impressive. Seems that the game is really a hidden gem.

Round is over. Grats to Xerus. Very nice to see that this game is worth playing. I had to much stress here at work, so I did not found enough time time, but I will keep the game in mind.
