Got 20'800 when I reached the first bonus stage, then I died. The game is great, but unfortuntely it's impossible to make a screenshot of scores lower than 50'000 (I play the Klapauzius version)

Can I not play with the C64 version instead? This is one of the first 16-bit ports by Ocean that I bought and was utterly gutted at how bad it looked and sounded :(

Will try and hold back the bile whilst playing it ...

Cause this is the last round of season #3, you are aloud to play the C64 version. :-)

I'll try the ST version first and compare scores with my C64 attempts afterwards :)

I get a '404 Page Not Found error' Thorn. No articles on your blog roll for August 2010 either so can't access it that way.

My last pathetic try was around 2500 points....not even enough for the highscore list.

I did a long game and I got stuck because I could not add color at the last leves with the blue color...
There is an interresting comment on Atari Legend. You must complete the 6th level at last !!!
http://www.atarilegend.com/games/games_ ... ame_id=134
I don't know if it's a bug but it's very frustrating...

I started a new game and I had a crash when I won a life to 600k :x
(I had a dozen lives at the moment...)
I made a save state shortly before as precaution (the games are long) and I try again.
No problem this time and continued until the end of the game; nice little end by the way :)
The problem comes from Peter Jonhson or it's my version (cracked by 007), I don't know...
I made 740 280 but unfortunately the save state is banned...

Otherwise Wizball seems very hard during the early games.
But when one begins to understand the mechanics of the game, it becomes very easy, even too easy !
In fact you can complete the game every time with a lot of lives.
His reputation for a very hard game is ultimately false :o

Score too low to make a shot: 4070

But after googling a bit i found out how to activate the extra weapons and therefor make the game more playable. I must admit after mastering this problem, the game gains more interest.

The manual I found i have attached to this post.

The two extras from the first icon are the most vital ones as they improve the controllability of the otherwise widely bumping Wizball a lot.

Excellent, thanks SSB, I will go and have a read.
I scored 5990 in this screenshot, not sure what I ended up with. Once I get on the scoreboard I won't have to wonder ;-)

Now that I got a highscore entry, I discovered that the copy I used (HD patch by D-Bug) does lockup. I couldn't even enter a name nor continue to a new one :(

I guess I have to try a different crack...

10020 for the while. Entry into Level/world 3 is quite impossible to reach with the bouncing Wizball btw.

The old Automation CD 20 v2 seems not to show that entry problem. I will use that crack now.

10410 as a slight improvement. In this round I also collected by first color drop.

Due to a urgent Kick Off tournament on Saturday, I can't increase my score. I still like Wizball a lot, but I second Xerus post. The game starts hard, but then become easy, but if you loose a live it's a little bit unfair.

Cause tomorrow this season ends, I like to say thank you to all participants for another great year of Atari ST Gaming. I will post in the next days the further plans for Season 4 wich will start after one month of rest.
