That happens when not a single beta tester can get past the 8000 points mark ;)

I'm curious... How long does each game take for you to reach these proposterously high scores?

Congrats Kradd on that stupendously hi-score! Put me to shame most heartily :)

It's relativ fast, because of some errors you get a lot of points for extras, and in the end you only get extras

But please continue the competition.

Nice high score, Kradd! It will be hard to beat you but I'm going to try anyway

Xerus, the war is not over !
You're hungry? So, just eat this: 91131 points!

Image

By the way... I didn't know two "bonus" red bricks could cause to fail... otherwise I could have a better score :)
From around 30,000 points I noticed there are more and more bonuses, so the game becomes easier.

(note the nice bug on the right side)

Time for dinner... I'll be back to send Kradd's highscore to the dustbin

The King is dead. Long live the King !
I lost as you Strider but with two barrels grey.

I'm sorry.
Really sorry.
I've nuked all your previous highscores
Xerus, Kradd... rest in peace

169583 points, and I know I can do better (I've also achieved 156605 points).

More seriously, this is quite a strange game because it becomes more and more easy :)
IMHO the most difficult part is reaching 30,000 points. Then, bonuses are more and more common.
From 80,000 points, almost every barrel is a bonus one.

Alas I didn't know the "empty the column" barrels must not be put on the same line...
Note it only takes me 20 minutes to reach the high score.

Good luck pals, and if you succeed in getting a highscore... I'll send you back to hell once again

The game was never meant to allow such scores. During beattesting noone of us Paradizers managed to make it that far so the behaviour for scores >8/9000 was never ever really verified.

But this gives me a good idea for the next games: beta testing through STOT ^^

Oh and by the way, here is my very last highscore : 1,484,143

Image

After failing 3 times, I succeeded in reaching 100,000 and the game was really easy after that point.
Beyond 100,000 there are only yellow, red and "deleter" barrels.
The game ended at 02:00 AM, I committed suicide because I had to work the day after
Even if someone beats my score, this was my last attempt because I had totally no fun at pressing space during one hour...

In fact me or Kradd can beat easily your score Strider... and you too; it's just a question of time ;)
We should draw for this round because the challenge has disappeared !
I'd like that kradD has 8 points ! :)

I agree Xerus, that's what I meant when I said I declare myself as the winner. As soon as it was obviously, that because of the bug, your score could be as high as you invest time, there was no competition anymore.

Today I discussed with Christos, that there will be two round left before we could close this season and start season 2 (a big success, many thanks to all participants)

We now like to know a good game for the next round. The last one should be Xenon II Megablast. Could you please make a proposal for a game for the next round? We thought about Ebic, to have a 3d shooter, but ggn who modified the game a bit :-) said that it will not be suitable for a competition

6 176 682
I played about 25 minutes !
What is my secret? :)
Simple, after 100 000 i noticed that it was unnecessary to move because barrels self eliminate or almost.
I left the game run in multitasking and when i heard the alarm i moving one step the barrel.
In fact i had to move 3 or 4 times in 3 hours

Here are some ideas for the round 23:
Tetris (choose the good version!), Klax or Pipe Mania.
A crazy game by Jeff Minter ?
Or why not use an stupid event in a game multiplayer as Summer games or like?
right-left-right-left-right or button, button, button as fast as possible?
With that everyone can play while laughing. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_09

Otherwise here is a short list for short contests:
- Best time on a race with Vroom, No Second Prize or Stunt Car Racer.
- Atari Games as a very simple millipede or missile command (1 or 2).

Another idea or suggestion ?

Thanks Nyh and Xerus for your proposals. I think that as a kind of respect, Jeff Minter must be in the STOT season 1, so I will start a llamatron round tomorrow (christos is not at home)

So it's time to finish this very exiting and suprising STOT round.

The final result:

1. Xerus 6176682
2. Strider 1484143
3. kRadD 102907
4. SSB 4374
5. MukUK 3456
6. Marcer 2988

I will count 8 Points to Xerus, Strider and me. Have a look at the new STOT Website (Beta)
