Pasti not working in Steem SSE 3.9.1 x64

Postby Cogweasel » Thu Apr 13, 2017 11:24 am

Am I the only one who has problems getting Pasti working in Steem SSE 3.9.1? I can't open .STX disks and the Pasti settings are missing in the settings menu. I have tried to do a fresh reinstall of Steem and I have put the latest pasti.dll in the root dir... am I missing something? :) I did read about a pasti bug in 3.9.0. but that was supposed to be fixed...

The 64bit build of Steem SSE can use only 64bit DLL libraries.
There's no 64bit version of pasti.dll yet AFAIK.

Aaaaah ... ok! I was considering that it had something to do with being 64bit! I am probably going back to the 32bit version then. Thanks for replying Mr Seagal! And excellent work on the emulator and your Kung-Fu! :)

Steven Seagal,
I am using the 32bit SSE 3.9.2 and it does not load the Pasti.dll when it starts. Consequently, I do not get any options for configuring Pasti nor do I see any .stx images in the Disk Manager. Am I doing something wrong? Pasti.dll is in the same directory as the SteemSSE executable.

Hi,
No, it's not, but I can't guess what's the problem just like that.
Please post a report here, with TRACE.txt:

Steven Seagal,
Well now I feel stupid. I was just going back to get the TRACE.txt file you requested, when I realized that both of my installations of SteemSSE are WIN64. You have clearly stated that Pasti does not work with that release because Pasti is a 32-bit dll. I will install the 32-bit release and try again. Sorry to have raised an issue where there is none.

Steven Seagal,
Just checked Pasti with WIN32 version. Works like a charm. Again, sorry for my failure to WTM.
By the way, please keep up the good work with Steem. It is my favorite ST emulator and your work has really brought it up to current day.
