Steem & Tunesmith to MIDI device

Postby cjeggett » Tue Nov 22, 2016 2:58 pm

Good afternoon,

First post, so my apologies if the answer is obvious and I just haven't found my way to it yet!

I have finally got Steem working to a point where I can make tunesmith make noises. I would like to know whether I can transmit the midi data that it is playing into either a midi device via usb, or into ableton.

Has anyone done this? Is there a guide which I can follow?

Thank you in advance.

Disclaimer: I know very little about MIDI, but if you open the STEEM prefs, and click Ports, you can choose what device to attach to the STs MIDI sockets.

The missing step is that you need some software midi points to connect them; I use loopMIDI: http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html
