OK, been tinkering.
Have manually decompressed the files with LHarc, so now have:
C:\GEMSYS (inside which I have put the folders ATARI, ET4000, MAC, MCX, MTC, and PC)
in the root C:\ there is ASSIGN.SYS, COPS.ACC and NVDI.INF (along with the NEWDESK.INF)
and NVDI.PRG along with WDIALOG.PRG
When booting, after the memory test screen, the NVDI info does not appear, instead goes straight to a GEM dialogue box with the following error message:
Please run the system extension
WDIALOG, which is supplied with
NVDI, or use the multitasking
system Magic 4
When QUIT is selected it then boots as normal, with no NVDI.
The NVDI.INF file was blank as install wouldn't run normally, so I created one in Everest using the example from the NVDI 5 manual. I've included the NVDI.INF and ASSIGN.SYS in the ZIP file.
Note: I have TeraDesk installed, and have tried this with it both enabled and disabled, and the result is the same. Emulated system is 32Mhz, 14mb.
All thoughts welcome with this one. Unless I am missing something really obvious I can't see what's wrong
