Excellent work!

Will be doing a load more before the budget titles (and those in smaller boxes) are taken away by Attic Bug.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

I'm working on 8) .

The ICS version is different than the STX I took from AITPASTi  .

* For sure ICS didn't change anything in the game : they added a little exec. to catch the Password random function & force it (clever method !).

- The Short Grey was partly made in STOS / AMOS + a runner in GFA.

Ahem, there's many things/details I could write about ... At first, I'm cleaning the sentences for translation & next we'll see what can be added/patched/ etc...

News soon now  .

EDIT : A new post must be opened about "The Short Grey"

- Nearly each files of the 4 disks must be reversed/translated,
- As "mixing" STOS / AMOS / GFA wasn't enough ( ), I also encountered pure 68k code called as external files :P .

 Well, that's a funny job & hope ppl will enjoy it  .

Just a quick message to let everyone know that the following games where bought and sent to Marko so that he can convert them to Pastis. Most are from budget labels, so no real jewel here, but hey!, we want to preserve everything.

Football Manager, Dungeon Amethists and Alchemists, Extensor, Time Scanner, Italy 90 Winner Edition, Dizzy Dice, Orbit 2000, Locomotion, Grimblood, Blazing Thunder, Gary Lineker's Superskills, Guardian Angel, Hyperbowl, Burger Man, Pub Trivia.

We will let you know when they are posted on the website. It will however still take at least a couple of weeks. First they have to arrive, then converted, scanned, etc.

Thanks snoopy,

just another quick update to let everyone know that the games did finally arrive.

Now let poor Marko do the conversion to stx, but remember he may be on vacation, may have work to do and has time to spend with his family.

Im sure he will let us all know when the games start to appear on the site.

Meanwhile, I will be on the lookout for more games on Ebay. It's just getting harder to find ones we don't have that are still complete in boxes and at good prices.

Hiya -aTaRiMaNia- / STX "addicts  ... :D

I have some "rare" ST/MSA to convert (if you're interested :) ), like. Degas 1.0 (was hard to find but I always use it), etc...

 Of course all disks/files are 100% proper :) .

Next, I'll continue my tests : too much ST/MSA disks were damaged ... then I redo & checks :D .

We're missing lotsa stuffs : then if I found something also "rare", I'll send you via your FTP :D (Disks & Docs :P ).

P.s; I'm in touch with Tom HUDSON & he is still own his ST(s) :D

Sounds interesting!

Yes the original Degas would be very nice indeed!!!! I also have an original one but the disk is damaged, so it would be nice if you could image it!

Naturally we are interested on all the old apps too, not just games. So keep coming whatever you find!

Also got the last batch of games from Advfan done + couple of others, so please follow Atarimania news for the new games :)

Anna & Dave gave me a lift back from EuroCon so that they could pick up the last of the 'big box' items with exception of a few that *I* want to scan in (Music Studio) and one that Atarimania wanted from me but I couldn't find (Autoduel).

When it's all sold, they're coming back to take away all 4x boxes of budget and smaller-box titles. But meanwhile I'll be scanning in as many of those as I can.

Wow, I see that there are only 19 pasti's left till the 1900th... which is also quite close to the magical 2000... What do you think, guys, can we hit the 2000 till Christmas? Does anyone of you have some undumped treasures left in the back shelf of your cupboard?
Now that someone has reverse engineered the pasti format, maybe this will spark more interest for other projects (at least when hatari will be compatible to pasti, the linux community may get interested in preservation of atari st stuff).

Well, if you mean Atarimania's dumps it's actually not a number of pasti-files but every dump including the demos section. For pasti-files we "only" have 956 at the moment. But I'm pretty sure we will hit 1000 at the end of this year.

I'm really looking forward to see the Pasti-support for Hatari, it would be fantastic :)

Thanks for the tip :)

Yes, unfortunately we can't use watermarked scans, but they may still reveal some information about the publishers and distributors from different countries or give a tip about re-releases. So we can use the information from them :)

Both is possible & mine, finally, let me enough free time : I was afraid to lost a part of my past  ...

Really great that everything is sorted out, it would have been sad to lose such an active atarian :) And ofcourse, happy couples do miracles to each other ;)

I received an UltraSatan to increase my "Pasti process".

Today I think that I established a new "Pasti World Record" : more than 50 disks "pastified"
