If by ROM you mean TOS (The operating system) then try here http://steem.atari.st and go to the downloads page.

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Games were supplied on flopyp disks and not ROMs. Therefor you won't be able to find games on ROMs or ROM images. However images of floppy disk contents can be found at various places on the net. It is wrong to call images of floppies ROMs because ROM means READ ONLY while you can write to a floppy which makes it more capable.

Collectors of other systems use the name 'ROM' for every image of disks, tapes, cartridges...

Which doesn't necessarily have to be correct!

I don't have a problem with ROM being a genric term for images from different systems. But to me it means a Read Only format like the cardridges on consoles. It really surprises me when people want to get hold of game images for the ST, Amiga, Mac, etc, and don't know what you talking about when you say disk image. I mean what are they going to to with the images if they don't really know what they are :?:

Collecting everything, that appears in a database like TOSEC or GoodRoms  .

I think we all know what we are on about, as long as we know that lets not let it worry us too much. Disk images, roms, we all know what we mean.
Thanks for all the help and information gentlemen

I second that...

keili: is a 'collectors' necessarily interested in databases like Tosec or GoodRoms? I don't think so ;)

I meant the TOSEC- and GoodRom-collectors. For most of them every image is a ROM.
For the ST-part, i fully agree. No need to be interested in any 'ROM'-database.
