WWF Wrestling won on eBay .. needs VHS video encoding

Postby Mug UK » Mon Feb 20, 2006 1:16 pm

Before I store this game in the loft, and after I've scanned in the box, manuals and made Pasti images of the disks .. there's a small VHS tape which needs encoding into Div-X or similar format so it can be included with GamebaseST.

Anyone in the UK a dab hand with this .. normally I'd do this myself but I haven't had a VHS deck for at least 8 years :)

Hi Muggy

Keili did the 3D Construction Kit DivX so maybe he could encode this also. If you could send it to me I will forward it when I send the next batch of stuff to him. Or you could send to him direct as long as he wants to do it of course :!:

BTW, along with Plan 9 from Outer Space and 3D Contruction Kit was there any more videos included with a game that you know :?:

Not off the top of my head .. submitted my first PDF to Replacementdocs last night (The Amazing Spiderman) as a test for some new software I'm trying out that converts JPGs into PDF in batch mode.

Wrestlemania disks, box front & back and manual scanned in (also converted manual to PDF format) ...

Would it be easier (if Goldrunner drives) to pop down and collect all these originals to save on postage costs?

Shouldn't be more than an hours drive.

unless someone local perhaps has a capture card, a VHS abomination and even a digital frame buffer?

would that be of any help ?

(it all requires a bit of lead time to cobble together mind.. :) )

Frame buffer : It's a piece of hardware which holds 1 frame of video in internbal memory, and produces a very clean outout video signal from it.

It gets rid of horribleness that can come from videos etc.

If Sarek's coming down, then strangely enough, I think I'll be at another appointment elsewhere in the country :)
