There's a nice proggy on Windoze called CoverXP I use at work. Will try throwing it at Wine tonight and see how far I get....

Ahem .. yes .. er... well... four of those boxes are going tomorrow RG! Got to finish off checking them tonight. Loads of problems with them in one way or another. Their owner's got a few new bits to buy :(

So I'll be down to only 2 x 3-bay's as of Sunday (plus the 2x DVD burners in the PCs!) ...... but on the plus side that's still 6 x DVDs every 10-15 minutes depending on how full they are :)

Goldrunner, when you popping down with the master copy so some grebby postie can't purloin it first? :)

And there are printable dvd's costing no more than 1Euro which some printers can utilise such as canon ip 4000 (or 3000  ). The ones with the cd tray on! If however you are in the States you are stuck with HP models.

I got the Canon IP4000 but wouldn't fancy sitting there whilst 100 x copies of Gamebase ST were printed onto discs.

Anyone else got a working torrent of this they can point me to?

The one Unseen posted requires registration for this Demonoid thing, and they're no longer taking on new accounts....

You can try to add this link to Emule :

ed2k://|file|Atari%20ST%20-%20GameBaseST%20-%20GBST%20v1.2b.zip|1131148832|5A6B78B4A8CF5450114EFA15AC0EE1EE|h=UGWDVCVJE7CTDYUQFGIIMKO2BQXMN6HD|/

I've just started to share it. My PC is nearly always connected to Emule and i've put the file in Release mode.

Hope that helps.

Tell me if there's any problem.

I was told recently that printing CDs/DVDs is a bad idea as the ink eventually dries up and flakes away particles into your player.
I was also told that this does not apply to original disks, apparently the commercial process of printing media is somewhat better and more permanent than the DIY methods...

As for the cost, I have paid far less than €1.00 (£0.69*) for an "Infinity" printable 8x DVD-R.

*currency conversion and media cost boast correct at time of post

DIY printing = ink

Commercial printing = screen printing and a helluva lot more expensive to do

Well I would not pay good money for something that could end up costing me my DVD player..
I prefer the previous idea of including cover and disk images as a PDF (or whatever) saved onto the DVD, would keep the costs to a minimum for all concerned, if cost is a vital issue that is.

I've got one of those (now almost) retro TDK thermal CD printers, and although the print area, mono colour and dpi are limiting, the finished result is imposible to scratch off (without taking the CD with it).

So many times I've had to throw CD's away because I've labled them incorrectly...

Surely emule is the *only* P2P app to learn!

It's the donkeys nuts. Haven't bought a CD since installing it (although, to be honest I buy 99% of my music on vinyl anyway).

I agree that E-mule is a good client, something to do with the hashes that makes spoofing impossible or something?
I use shareaza, and although you never get above 60kbytes/sec the resulting file has always been genuine and virus free (for me).
