My crack of Masterblazer

Postby unseenmenace » Mon Dec 12, 2005 3:43 pm

In case its wanted for the next release of GBST I thought I'd mention that I did my own crack of Masterblazer back in the day and I should still have it. The reason I mention it is because its probably the closest you'll get to the original image without needing to look in the manual for the word to type in. I looked at the text lookup data in a sector editor and figured out how it worked and just changed it so it asks you to type a specified number of X's. Apart from that it is identical to the original, the actual code is 100% unchanged and there are no cracker messages, intros or anything.

Let me know if anyone wants me to dig it out and image it.

The more versions, the merrier :)

Will it run off h/drive as (I think) it was already in files? Or is my memory playing tricks again?
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Hi Unseen

I always on the lookout for the best possible cracks that leave the game virtually unchanged so your version of Masterblazer would be perfect.

Many thanks for letting me know and I look forward to seeing it :D
