List of STe enhanced & STe only games?

Postby Goldrunner » Wed Apr 21, 2004 9:09 pm

The Gamebase ST team is trying to compile a list of STe enhanced and STe only games to aid us in the configuration of each game within the database. In certain circumstances it is difficult to tell if a given game uses certain features of the STe, features such as a 4096 colour palette or the Blitter co-processor. It is for this reason we are turning to the considerable knowledge of the users of these forums.

If you have a list of STe enhanced or STe only games or even know of one or two then please let us know through this thread. The team is aware of the STe fanpage at http://atari-ste.anvil-soft.com but we feel the list is far from complete.

Yup, we are trying to do the same for Atari Legend... we recently started a topic about this subject too http://www.atari-forum.com/ftopic2810.html

Perhaps of some interest?

Hello,

first : of course my list is not finished - but far from it - thats not real if you stick to the topic - I also got still some software to include but what you mention is the main problem - find out if it really uses STE stuff and if - what exactly.
My list ist of course for the public and also you might use it as basic for your list, but I find it a little bit annoying that you get here - and say hey the months of work of that guy are crap - lets get our own list it will be better.

Anyway tell me if I should cancel my crappy list - and please show me your many, many STE games and demos I was not able to find...

On my side I find your list very complete and very useful.
It'd be impossible to do a better one.

Hi ZWF/Paradox

Many apologies if my wording in the first post upset you, I assure you it was not my intention! Reading it back to myself I can see that the wording may have seemed a personal criticism on you site, again I apologise for this. I believe you doing a fantastic job and your site is one of kind in listing those STE enhanced and STE only games!

Hello,

well - poo happens. I also was kind of overreacting - the aim should always be to do the best for STE...:-)

So lets forget about this mishap and do something for our beloved Ataris.

By the way the list on the fanpage is also the work of many STE fans that supported the growth of the list ! Also many gave me moral support (thanks Brume...:-) ) which helped me going on and on...

But the site is not yet finished..there is still a lot to report on STE...
