Well at least there was a "Superpack" in Sweden, I don't know about the rest of the world. Here it was also sold with a "Discovery Pack" at one time and included in that was the following:

FirST Basic
Neochrome
S.T.O.S.
ST Tour
Carrier Command
Outrun
Space Harrier
Bomb Jack

Obviously it also contained a book called "Discover The Atari ST"

Hope it's of any "use" to you :P

Cheers

Have some Powerpack & Superpack disks. I'll upload them on PaCigame if you need them. Before all, I have to know what game is on each disk (there is no number on the image-disks).
Here are the disks I have, help me to find the number of each one:

1. Powerpack disk with Bombjack & Xenon (only both games?)
2. Powerpack disk with Bombjack, Bombuzal & Xenon (disk 2, so?)
3. Powerpack disk with Eliminator, Pacmania & Nebulus
4. Powerpack disk with Starglider, Overlander & Super Huey

5. Superpack disk with Arkanoid II & Wizball
6. Superpack disk with Beyond The Ice Palace, Thrust & Thundercats
7. Superpack disk with Buggy Boy & Ikari Warrior

8. unknown disk with Back To The Future II & Gremlins II
9. unknown disk with Light Corridor & Vaxine
10. unknown disk with Thundercats & Tetris

Thanks,

Brume.

I had this package but there was another game with it and I cant remember the name and its driving me mad :-P. You were like, a little alien with a red helmet or something and your spaceship was crashed and you had to go exploring to find the parts to repair it or something. Was kind of a platform game/puzzle game

I got that pack with my ST in the UK. (We got the computer and the games by mail from 'Evesham Micros' who used to advertise in all the Atari mags, I seem to recall.. (But apparently they're crap nowadays) )

Only differences were I got Thrust II instead of Thrust and Return to Genesis instead of Mousetrap.

And RanaRama came on a blue disk with printed-on gold writing (all the others were grey with 'Atari ST Super Pack' sticky labels) that contained it and a bunch of business utilities that never worked properly. My Dad even returned that disk and got a replacement which had the same problems, which makes me think it was a TOS compatability error rather than two broken disks..

RanaRama worked though and I was 12 at the time, so I really didn't care too much about a bunch of boring old spreadsheets and word processors... ;)

In my Superpack, I didn't have Mouse Trap or Test Drive.. were there diffrent Superpacks then? I'd imagine a diffrence between countrys, but not within the UK. Odd. Got mine in about '87 I think.

Incidently, if anyone has the Superpack disks for sale, PM me :D

With regard to the Power Pack version of R-Type. Acording to some magazines there was a cheat for the original R-Type which was when prompted to inser disk 2 press 'HELP' type 'ME' and press 'UP ARROW' to give various cheats, but the Power Pack version is double sided and so lacks the disk-change prompt. Is there any way of getting these cheats working with the Power Pack version.

I know I can just go out and get a cracked version, but it's just something I've wondered over the years.

Not spam but a link to a Geocities site about the Power Pack:
http://www.geocities.com/yotisrx7/PowerPack.html

PS: I have an edition of ST Format that came with my ST (plus Power Pack), you could call it issue #0, which had cheats in the "Game Busters" section for a lot of the games in the pack. Alas no R-Type but it's reminded me to get around to buying a scanner so I can share this edition with the community (I've never seen it mentioned elsewhere).

TT030: 4MB/16MB + Crazy Dots, Mega"SST" 12, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Ah, just to add some information: here in Germany "Predator" was replaced with Tynesoft's "Winter Olympiad" due to the fact that the former was - along with titles like "River Raid" :-) - officially considered too brutal for minors and thus had been listed on the BPS (nowaydays BPjM) index.

How ironic, the game's fab rendition of the Ski Sunday theme would be totally lost on an audience outside of the UK.

Oh god, Thread Necromancy...

This was the pack-in given away with the 1040STFM at exactly the same time as the original 520 STFM had the Power Pack folder. (Way before the Discovery Pack). I got the 1040STFM in 1989, instead of the 520STFM POWER PACK! (it was only £50 quid more to get the 1040) but still got the big Power Pack folder with the grey disks with the 20 games on them, along with the Super Pack too. (Thanks, Evesham Micros!) All the Super Pack disks were Blue, but the Power Pack disks were all grey. I've seen blue Power Pack disks though. I believe Summer Olympiad was in the superpack pack too, because I've got the disk and it is the same as the superpack as far as labels go. All of them had no copy protection too if I remember correctly, apart from Seconds Out/Mousetrap and Buggy Boy?

Also, the game was Return to Genesis, not just Genesis :)
