D-bug's one should work:

If you still have problems please post back with some information about the emulator you are running it in along with the ROM / RAM / machine configurations you have tried.
TT030: 4MB/16MB + Crazy Dots, Mega"SST" 12, STacy 2, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Can be a bit tricky finding fully working games sometimes. Try this one :http://atari.8bitchip.info/ASTGA/B/blaclamp.php

Should work ... hopefully :)

This one works in STEEM and was created from a dump of my own Power Pack disk K:

You will need an Atari emulator such as Hatari or STEEM SSE. If you search this forum you should find information on downloading and installing these emulators.

Sorry I haven't responded on this in a while, but I am using stEem to try and run blacklamp but it says I need a TOS file and none of the files you guys gave me have TOS files in them.

Yes, nobody posted TOS file, because you asked for game. You really should use some search (Google) when looking for such basic things.

Original Black Lamp works fine with EmuTOS (some of the badly coded cracks don't though).

TOS files are an image of the builtin operating system that the computer had in ROM. You need at least one TOS image for running any kind of software. For copyright reasons, emulators usually don't provide the original Atari TOS images. You can find them at the net, even probably here at this forum.

You can also use EmuTOS that is a free compatible TOS. Many games don't run with EmuTOS, but according to Eero seems this one does.

Most games actually do run fine with (latest) EmuTOS, especially if you select EmuTOS version intended for given machine version. Latest EmuTOS version for ST is here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/emutos ... p/download

It's mainly just the bad cracks that don't work with it. They do stupid things like overwrite OS data, or even the game's own code when they load the game data, or they expect some undocumented i.e. completely internal OS variables to be in hard-coded memory locations.

There are some bad games that do similar things. E.g. many (PD/shareware) STOS games use undocumented, TOS version specific memory addresses for accessing joystick (or mouse) input.

For those, it's better to find & use versions of the games that have been fixed to work with multiple TOS versions and to run from hard disk. If you come across a game that works with several TOS versions and from harddisk, but doesn't work with latest EmuTOS, I would like to hear about that.

Here are lists of some such things, and what things EmuTOS does not support:
* https://github.com/emutos/emutos/blob/m ... atible.txt
* https://github.com/emutos/emutos/blob/m ... c/bugs.txt
* https://github.com/emutos/emutos/blob/m ... status.txt

(There are several TOS v4 / Falcon programs that don't work with EmuTOS, but that is to be expected because EmuTOS doesn't implement XBios DSP functions, nor support 16-bit color modes yet.)
