Atari Stacy 4 (UK based)

Postby Yknatari » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:23 pm

Hi

I am looking to sell my Atari Stacy 4, I have had this for just under a year.
I purchased this along with some amplifiers, I am a bit of a collector of old tech, I wanted to keep this as a display piece.

Not very IT inclined I have put batteries in the laptop and it switched on to the menu seen in the photo.
Again I didn't know what to do after that, the ball didn't respond and I wasn't sure what buttons did what.

The laptop also came with a tattered invoice which makes this a bit more special.

make me an offer, collection in Essex or postage will be £15

Please give me some indication of value regardless

There’s a cover on the right hand side where you’ll find a pair of 9pin dsub connectors and a switch, flick the switch, power it up and see if the trackball works. ;)
Mega"SST" 12, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

At the moment there is a Stacy offered on Ebay. Take look there for price indication. See https://www.ebay.nl/itm/192460790051?ul_noapp=true

Personally I find the "black spot" very negative because I've has same experience with a laptop and that also started very small but within a few months it had nearly covered the while screen.

Have sent an offer via PM. Assuming the track ball works by flicking the switch as mentioned above.

Hi
I can confirm the trackball works after switching the Mouse/joy switch to trackball.

I have a video that I can send to people on Whatsapp

Thanks
