For Sale: Atari TT with Crazy Dots

Postby Dal » Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:38 pm

Before it goes on eBay, my Atari TT is up for grabs:

4MB ST RAM
16MB TT RAM
Crazy Dots VME graphics card
SCSI-IDE controller with CF card
UK English TT keyboard
Standard ST mouse.

Exceptionally white - no discolouration at all of the main unit itself. The original hard disk died so I need to prepare the CF card and install NVDI with the Crazy Dots support this week so I can take some pictures of it all working properly.

However if anyone is interested, I am looking for offers around £700

Damn, I just spent more than that on a SuperVidel... though all I'd want out of this is the Crazy Dots card, really wish someone could remake full VME cards.

Why is Dal selling off all his goods? First his most exquisite Falcon, and now his TT with Crazy Dots?

Hi,

I have just joined your group and wonder if you or anybody can answer my question below.
I have a TT, Crazy Dots and SM 144 monitor for sale, can I ask if anybody knows what these are worth separately?

Thanks in advance,
Cedar

Welcome! I would suggest starting another thread with pictures and more info. I can tell you off the bat that the SM144 is not going to sell that easily for any price due to it's bulk and it's easily replaceable by modern VGA monitors. However, Crazy Dots might be valuable depending on model. Again, we need pictures to determine.

Thanks Frank, yeah I occasionally hit eBay looking for one. Did someone let it be known that they're useful? Prices are absurd for them. It's like the Voodoo3+ PCI cards that can be used in Amigas, someone found that out and now charge 300+ for them. I think the cheapest I've found an ET4000 ISA card was 60 or so. I'll have to take another look. All in good time, need to get Supervidel working and I just ordered a bundle of 8-bit stuff from Lotharek!

The Cards that I use are 160mm x 65mm ...

The VME Card in the Atari TT or Mega STE Slot is 160mm x 100mm.

I need to get one (or possibly two, TT and Mega are hungry). Any suggestions on finding an ET4000?

There you can buy new ones -> http://www.microlabs.com

But the W32/ET4000 cards are untested, so be careful ...

Interesting, they'll build custom boards as well. So maybe if we could get them to build a custom board + your VME interface we could get a nice tight fit in the bay?
