Hahahahaha .. this has got to be a typo: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Atari-ST-Games_W0 ... 0346695478

£100 for 13 games without boxes or instructions :)

On the subject of those Casio fx-7000 graphics calculators, I feel sorry for these new sellers on eBay where their items go for 99p!!!!! That's just unfair. If you remember what it was like back in 2004/2005. It was great fun.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Casio-fx- ... 240%3A1318

Anyway, if you're after one of these then it is worth looking regularly.

The £100 lot of games has reappeared but now it's £10 :)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Atari-ST-Games_W0 ... 0346695478

Still expensive for a set of unboxed originals but it might sell to someone now it's £90 off in the 'sales' :)

Yeah, this one is currently £4 more expensive, but comes with way more games, some of which are boxed (Ultima V... nice!) and a joystick.. and mouse, and ST :D

That's one unbelievably yellowed ST though - a candidate for the oxy de-yellowing procedure (which I should try out myself, if I wasn't so lazy) if ever I saw one.

I'd be interested in two of the games that come with it if you do buy it Desty :)

Ah, I won't be getting that one - space is already restricted from the two STs and a Falcon (and all the midi gear which came with it - I haven't even identified most of the stuff in the crate ;))

really sad, considering you can get a totally boxed new ST straight from B and C the guys who bought out Atari's inventory for (straight from their updated website)-

HDS001 COMPUTER 1040STF (NO RF) NEW 295.00

DOH! They should have held out for a Falcon, or even a new STe for $395 :)

It's just that I bought a Casio one from Tesco in their sale, for £6 or something, which was all bells and whistles, and enables you to gain a Doctorate in maths. And the thing doesn't do number bases.

Other recent ones that I've looked at which will do number bases won't convert between bases, eg. 65d = 0x41 = 1000001b.

It's a bit of a step backwards really, given how heavily computers are now used.

I also have one of these which I bought in 1995 for £5 when the shops were clearing them out as gimmicks. They go for £20+ on eBay now, £60 if pristine. Just wish that I'd bought 10.

Actually, this one got me started on some memories. When I started university work in 1973, HP was the one to have, and I got the HP 21 because I couldn't afford the programmable calculator. Wikipedia doesn't have an article on the 21, but the list of calculators here has a couple of world's firsts right around that time -- 1st pocket calculator, 1st programmable. Wonderful machines for the time -- RPN logic, 4 registers, gold plated key contacts.
