Hi everyone;

Some good news about Shadow Gangs, the first phase of characters creation is nearly finished.

All of the characters and bosses are done. With this phase finished there will be a new fix phase to revamp the main character, and the next big phase which I have been waiting for for a long time, the levels.

There is more info on the website, on which I put 2 new sections with the full minions and bosses list.

Newest video is looking very good!
I see on your website, http://www.shadowgangs.com, that you have a small team but it seems you're stuck working on the graphics? Is it just you working on this right now?

I am doing the programming side, one artist doing all the sprites and soon the levels, another doing the special effect and a musician.
The game is progressing, and we'll start the levels art soon. Hopefully starting this October.

it looks very cool! It's a pity you removed the videos.

maybe some auto "pixelize" screen effect could make it look more retro (even if the original artwork is awesome by itself)?

a bit like that:

it doesn't look better, but just more like old games!

I removed the videos because they no longer represent the final visual quality of the game. Newer and better wip videos will be done soon.
Also the bosses videos will no longer represent the actual progress and I am planning to replace them in the future.

A lot of people like the old low res style, together with scanlines for a retro feel. This will be implemented in the final version of the game. (With post processing shaders it's easy to do, I'll make sure to supply a wide range of filters that can be combined too if desired).
