PCB Design Software

Postby Womble » Thu Nov 06, 2008 2:03 am

Hi All

Anyone know of any good simple PCB design software, simple mainly because I only need to produce simple PCBs. Basically I am going to be producing carts for a variety of systems that take ROMs so all I really need is something that can lay out the fingers on the edge of the PCB and run a few tracks upto the ROM chips. Googling throws up a mass of non-freeware options or software tied to certain pcb manufacturers.

Anyone used anything decent in the past on XP?

Cheers

David

Actually - just found FreePCB - which looks like it might do the job.

Seconded.

Eagle has practically become the 'standard' unless you have £10k to spend. I ended up buying the standard version.

It can be a bit quirky and clunky in places, but it's feature rich.
If I don't answer or appear to have forgotton then email again, I'm scatty! :)
