Anyone got a SNDH player for Linux? I'd even be happy for a commandline one.

JAM for Windows won't work under WINE properly :(

Or you could use "Audio Overload" :-)

Will give it a go, but I've heard the sound emulation isn't brilliant

Well, sound isn't too bad, but there's a lot of SNDH files its not playing. Yet to find a Tao or Scavenger tune it can handle....

Does the sc68 plugin for xmms work with SNDH? I couldn't find specific info on the site... but if it does, xmms is a nice proggy. :)

[edit]
STsndplay looks promising too.

Its supposed to, but couldn't get it to compile - was complaining it couldn't find xmms-config. Definitely have xmms installed on my machine though. Must be a "feature" of the .deb package for xmms

[UPDATE] Installing xmms-dev package which may solve this one

If your sources are setup right, you can solve that with "apt-get install xmms-devel". :)

... you're too quick for me! :P

Yeah, I keep replying to myself on the forum. Should think before I post maybe?

Did find a small error in config_platform68.h in the main SC68 source, but it was a tiny fix, so I got around it.

A few dependencies later, I now have a working xmms68 plugin. Still won't play Tao's "Intensity" though. 50 or 200hz version :-(

That's it! I can remember now, although it's not very clear.
It's a bit off-topic.

I believe sc68 exports autoconf/automake #define's (like HAVE_STDLIB_H) along with its own defines in its main include file which is automatically generated when you build sc68 through the "configure" script.

Then, when you try to build another package that uses sc68 _and_ autoconf/automake, there's a chance that the #defines done from the various checks at configuration time are superseded at build time by the #defines with the same name taken from the sc68 header file.

I thought about submitting a bug report and/or a patch but either sc68 looked not maintained anymore at that time or I drank beer instead.
I don't remember which year it was.
