Does anyone remember this game?

Postby Dino » Wed Mar 06, 2019 1:52 am

Hi,

I've been wanting to play an old game I used to play as a kid but I can't remember what it was called, I've been through the ST list on the wikipedia and can't find it in there. Perfectly possible it's there but the titles don't ring any bells.

Essentially it was an adventure game where you were a crawling baby/toddler and if I remember correctly you were escaping from a shopping centre/department store.

Does anyone remember what this game is?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks all, but none of the above. It was side scrolling similar to bang jo, if I remember correctly but it may have been screen by screen but definitely a side view.

Wrong format (8-bit) and maybe more action than adventure but could it be Jack the Nipper?

Don't believe everything that is true.

Afraid not, this is going to annoy me. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Me too, because I also have recollections of such a game but can't remember it's name.

When I saw this thread I thought it would be Baby Jo. Jack The Nipper was the first game I got for my Spectrum but it wasn't released on the ST.

Probably wise to ask Dino which country he is from because it could have been some locally made public domain game.

Was it an original boxed original game or was it on a menu disk?
If it was on a menu do you remember anything else about the menu e.g. other games or menu author (Automation, Replicants, Medway Boys, Elite).
Depending on where you live determines which games and menus you had access to.
Still got, still working: Atari 4Mb STe, 520STFM, 2.5Mb STF.
Hardware: Cumana CSA 354, Ultimate Ripper, Blitz Turbo, Synchro Express II (US and UK Versions).

Hi I can’t remember if it was from a menu disk, it may have been as had loads at the time. I’m from the UK, I remember in the game you crawled around a department store.

Was it like a platformer, or a puzzle game, what did you have to do?
Storm Clouds over the Western Front - my WW1 2D dogfighting game for windows
2D Flight Sims - side scrolling aerial combat games

This is frustrating.
It sounds identical to Herbert's Dummy Run:
https://www.giantbomb.com/herberts-dumm ... 030-30976/
But it wasn't released on the ST. Only on the Spectrum, C64 and Amstrad.
