Is it a mouse? How does it operate?

It seems one is available on eBay atm, but not much description about how it is handled there.

It is a sandwich maker, although it is also used to store opium.
The design engineer is interned at Arkham Asylum.

Retro Man Cave reviewed this on Youtube recently. It looks really bad. I recommend that channel though - he does some quality retro content.

I agree, RetromanCave is good but LGR and 8BitGuy are even better.
I personally also watch the Nostalgia Nerd from time to time...

Looks similar to that quickshot 'thing' that appears to be a trackball but is just a fat round joystick.
