I wonder if the ST version got the same "individual life lesson" text than the arcade, at the end of the run. ;)

dma. i can't remember it
but i have made a routine, in the game that can reduce the picture to max 14 gray scale colors.
so it should not be impossible to add the text

just a little update on this project. Its not dead.
i have add the new fps counter to the program, that i now use in the outrun (that was inspired by"Swap D0")
i have also add 4 times as many fps to the render engine to slow the game down, but it should also make it more smooth.

i have removed all the old music, i have not add the new one yet, due to it increase the compiling time and also the ingame music is not finish.
the music there are add when i made the video, but its probably this there will be use later on.

I see that you have added the screen i have extracted from the Arcade roms (Man on bike + Enduro Racer Logo ?)

Nice !!!

Hi dlfrsilver
sorry for the late reply, been sick as hell :(

thx again, for your help to the project, and yes where the Atari can look a little like the arcade with no extra cost, then why not :D
there are still some minor thing with the intro screen, like how the logo is moving up/down, but it will be fixed :)

many thanks but Not for the moment, I also seem to remember that you either send me or uploaded a lot to an other thread. If I start on replacing the gfx it will be the last thing to do, I would much rather have a map editor.

a map editor..... it would be compatible with outrun as well :)

If only the cannonball programmer could adapt it for enduro racer :)

I am not sure that the game is made by the same people (not the arcade version) there are some similarities different places in the code, like the mirror routine was basic the same on both ER and Outrun, also some of the road painting routine looks a little the same, but if its the same people when it would not be impossible, but for me this project is not to make them arcade perfect, but more to see what could have been done, maybe also to show a lot of Amiga guys that ER and Outrun was not lazy Atari ports but just bad arcade ports on both system.

ER was never ported on Amiga. Outrun was a quick and dirty port, with no use of the arcade assets.

Its the same guy Ian Morrison that did both, so if we Did make a map editor. Then it would probably not be so hard to make it work for both and the others games he did.

Sega did not handle any of there arcade recourse to the makers of the computer version, so it was done by one played the game and one took a lots of pictures, could have been movies, and then they had recreated all of it... (It so stupid)

Not sure if you are aware, but on the second level the text is corrupt. Looking forward to the finished game!
