There is actually a secret command-line switch to make Steem's floppy disk emulation more accurate that fixes this game. I haven't told anyone about it before as it seemed to make more programs fail than it fixed (it's a work in progress really). Anyway, if you run Steem with a command line of "ACCURATEFDC" then Jupiter's Masterdrive will work.

Hope this helps,
Russell Hayward

YES it works-great !!
thank you

p.s. (to steem authors) is there a way to disable audio when fast-forwarding ?
It causes nasty pops on my config.

Other games that now work using this trick:

-Mayday Squad (Replicants version)
-Power Drift (Replicants version)
-G-Nius (Delight version)
-The Adventures of Mad Dog Williams (Replicants version)

Well done for having the patience to test all those, I found a few more before I couldn't stand how slow it was going!

STNICC demo (Oxygene)
Artura

Looks like we'll have to find somewhere to put the option. I'll do some tests soon to try and work out why some programs fail with the option on. Maybe once I have done that we can make our normal emulation more accurate so it runs those programs but faster than the real thing to make it bearable.

Yes that pop is annoying, unfortunately it is actually caused by the sound stopping when you press fast forward. We are going to try to get rid of that for the next version, we should be able to do it (Steem does a drastic stop all the time at the moment, that isn't really necessary except in an emergency).
