This game just keeps getting better and better! I just got up to level 15, so at this rate, I may need a good level editor soon! :D

Roger screenshots

Postby Ragstaff » Sat Jan 31, 2004 4:23 pm

Just for the people who were asking for screen-shots of Trobes' new game, I've made a little "Roger" page, with download links, screenshots, and a brief description. All of an hours work, but still, hope someone finds it useful :-)

Now that is what I call dedication! Thanks a lot Ragstaff ...

One little mistake ... the game is based on the bonus worlds of "Cool Spot" ... Not Sonic ...

Cheers,
Maarten

I'm getting up to level 20 and beyond pretty regularly now, although I still haven't beaten it yet. I'll try to grab some screenshots of the later levels next time I play.

Ok, you've exposed me Tobe, I didn't get that far yet! Screenshots from the later levels are on there now, thanks to Silver Surfer :-) Oh, and I included a translation of the scroll text from the final screen shown in the screenshot :-) And some lame gags...

The page has a highscore table now, a little face-lift, and a few more links.... is the highscore file encrypted Tobe? Not that I expect anyone to cheat if it's not, but it's a possibility.... ;-) hehe

Someone found my secret identity 8) :

I will take a look to sources about encrypted highscores, but i don't remember using any kind of encryption (no XOR 'TOBE')...

Hi Tobe,

The Game is great! been playing it for a couple of hours yesterday.
The music is pretty nice too, bearing in mind I was 14 when
I wrote that tune.

Always wanted to do game music when I was young,
guess that dream came true by "accident" :-)

Cheers,
Simon

I think the music is fine Simon. To think you did it when you were 14, unbelievable!

Some news on the Roger site:

    * Tobe has sportingly renounced his old high scores, so we all have a chance now! Currently Silver surfer is at no#1 with 16,107.
It would be fun to get some more people trying to get the high score. If you want to submit one, send me a screenshot of the high-score table (it's easy to cheat, but I trust Atari people :-) )
    * http://www.emultoo.com/ has linked to me with a news article, it's on the front page! Nice to see the game getting some coverage outside of the ST Scene!
    * Aside from high scores, no other major changes, no new jokes etc, so don't bother revisiting if you've seen it once already :-)

It will not freeze if you use TOS 1.62 (STE) in Steem
In the CIA we learned that ST ruled
