Are there any religious ST games?

Postby STcomp » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:11 am

Just wondering...any games public or commercial with a general theme of...err...religion? (and not just a passing reference like "there's a cross in a certain game" etc.)

I don't think there's many (or even any I know of) that are based on actual theological terms, but don't forget that most ST games were written by Europeans who don't like to bother the Almighty as much as Americans.. ;)

Here's a few that fit the criteria from different platforms, though:

Super 3D Noah's Ark - SNES
Chubby Cherub - NES
Noah's Ark - NES

Wiki Article about 'Wisdom Tree' Christian Software House
BBC Article about 'Left Behind - Eternal Forces'

I'm surprised nobody came up with just one, especially with all the PD stuff, AND a lot of American game programmers that did ST stuff...maybe someone out there wants to be the first to do a religious release? Maybe throw together something with SEUCK or something? Maybe Jesus can shoot a beam out to heal the sick and raise the dead?

There was a letter written published in ST Format (I think) where the reader was complaining about all the nasty creatures in ST games, and wouldnt it be a good idea if there were more uplifting game themes based on bible stories. Was a crack up of a letter, no idea which issue it was in now as my collection is long gone, anyone know which one it was in?

I can't think of any games either, but there were several reference collections, like
Concordance, etc,...

Dungeon Master lovers make religion out of their beloved title :>
Although IIRC it doesn't really feature any ;)
