The big difference besides being a lot more stable, is speed. Atari forum has always been a bit slow, now it's suddenly lightning fast. A better server perhaps?

(using 100 mb connection i noticed that right away)

Thanks for a great forum Dal. :)

I have noticed some odd issues, like if if someone posts on a thread I am looking at, if I refresh the page after someone else posted, I do not see the changes. I actually have to go back to the index page then go back to the thread to get the new posts. It didn't used to do that before ? Also the online users do not seem to stay online for many seconds. This could just be how things are. But it seems odd as a lot of people just normally leave the forum open on the index page, so there is normally a few people online at all times, though lately, either people have better things to do, or vanishing from the list.

Not sure about the post issue you talk about as for me, it seems to behave correctly when I attempt to post at the same time as another user.

However, I have changed the session timeout which accounts for the change in behaviour for the online user list.

The forum's been a lot better since I switched them off. Not entirely sure I want to re-enable them to be honest.

Loads of stats, top posters, most visited threads, most popular attachments, useage by subforum. Tons of stuff, but it's database heavy.

I still have issues accessing the site. It looks like my IP is blocked or something. Using a proxy helps but then the rest of the web is mostly unresponsive. I can access the site from my work, though. It's only been this way for the last 3-4 days. Really annoying. And I don't see what I can do.

seems other way round for me.
At home it is working like a champ (touch wood).
At the office, it rather slow and sometimes gets kick out by the company proxy, but these issues are really due to the company proxy and not the forum.

Its been pretty good here for a while now finally and I have a pretty crappy ISP. I don't care about statistics either, they seem like a waste of resources.

I've never looked at the stats. I'm for anything that keeps AF running as well as it has the last few weeks.
