Thanks to the Atari community!

Postby retrogameandcomputer » Mon Aug 12, 2013 8:57 pm

My retro game and computer site has only been up for a few days but I have received many compliments and useful feedback on how to make it better. This is in large contrast to the Amiga community. While many appreciated what I tried to do, I had so many tear apart the design, use of ads and even hosting. I felt like a swimmer at a great white convention off the great barrier reef :) The odd thing is that the site has more content than any other Amiga site out there.

Thanks Atari lovers! I know the site is not perfect, but I appreciate your constructive feedback!

PS. I want to populate the Atari section with a much more comprehensive set of peripherals. I want to create a catalogue of all peripherals ever made for Atari computers, and include pictures and drivers. Any suggestions?

That's what I love about the Atari community is their unconditional kindness and acceptance. I have never understood the hostile and vile comments across the Amiga forums. I mean sure....when I was a school kid I was a bit of a Sinclair fanboy but even then not to the point of aggression or personal attacks, just harmless fun and pride with my sword being nerdy specifications etc.

You might want to update your article on Steve Jobs.

Thanks so much Shredder. Much appreciated.

>>DAI: Yeah, I updated these pages a long time ago, but when I restored the site on the weekend, I updated the old pages from August instead of November!

The correct pages are up along with a page of Mark Z.

Hi
Nice site you have made.
I found a little spelling bug under the MSX, you are writing
Tamaha 2149 sound chip.

Well, everyone knows that the ST is the 16 bit computer to go for if you are not a complete douche-bag! ;)

I like your site a lot, it is informative, but has a nice personal feel to it too, like you invited me in to have a look around your collection. Thanks for sharing, buddy!

This made me giggle: when I clicked on the ST games section under the main header menu I was greeted with

As part of our commitment to bring you a quality site with top bass fishing information, RetroGameAndComputer.com reviews each and every link request that we receive to ensure that our visitors are provided with quality bass fishing links.

I was utterly bemused until I saw the title of the other site you manage! Also, I could only see ST game reviews up to the letter D, am I missing the rest, or are you uploading the rest later? Or maybe you have some kind of discrimination against the letter E?

Keep up the good work!

Nice and clean website! I'd like to see again when all the pages will be more populated.

Little typo (I think): Coldfire should be a single word (in the drop-down menu)

Keep up the good job"
