-Byteswap like pperas interface, PC Compatible mode, but needs special driver like pperas driver
-Smartswap, special mode to make the drive PC Compatible, (no Special driver needed)
-Low Speed mode to make old drives working
All data lines are buffered, so the TT is safe with less bus weight
Upto 6Mb/s Transferspeed with HDDriver 10.1 and driver loaded into fast ram (with Storm)

Storm Fastram:

Hello,

Sounds interesting.
I saw a video on Youtube with a TT at 40MHz. Is it yours?

You plug both cards on the TT Ram connector?

Guillaume.

Yes it is indeed very nice.
I am tempted to get for my TT but several years back I paid for a NetUSBee from a guy called Tuxie on Atari-Home.de and it never appear.
He mentioned there was problems with the chip/board/breakfast etc and will be fixed in few weeks.
Of course after over 5 years now, it's still not arrived yet. That was the only bad Atari related purchase so far for me.

So as much as I like the Thunder Storm, I think I will not get into it.

Hello Wongck,

yes it is true I had a lot of trouble with the NetUSBees I had made many years ago. The half of all boards was not working, and we didn't found the reason why. This made me bankrupt because I hade invested a lot of money to buy the parts for it. I tried to pay back all peoples, so I contacted also you by mail but I got no answer "IDK why" . At the moment we sold 50 pieces of ThunderStorm without any issues. And I will also clear our trouble between us both.I write this in open forum because I have no secrets. I will send you an IM .....

I would just like to say that I purchased both Thunder and Storm from tuxie, the hardware is very nice and he has provided exceptional service/support through email and facebook. He even called me from Germany to Australia to help me with a configuration problem I was having. His service/products are excellent.

don't get me wrong. I am not out to harm him, else I would have already posted a reply to of his 1st posting immediately.
Just caveat emptor.
He has his reasons, I did follow on Atari-home.de back then, and knew he said he lost money on it. That's why I did not pursue further, may be being gullible but benefit of the doubt.

Tuxie is still making some great products for Atari as we can see here.

I have both pieces up and running in my TT since a few weeks. It is the best addition to my TT in years. Very good work, great support. Thank you.

I ordered and received both the Thunder and Storm.
So far I've only had the chance to use the Storm memory expansion, but it works perfectly and I expect the Thunder will as well.

Previous comms from Ingo seems to have couple left.
He supposed to get me one, but has not heard from him couple of months.
Seems that Germans goes for long summer vacation, so reply will be slower.

Hello guys,

unfortunately, I am rarely here in the forum, rather in the German Atari-home.de forum, because my English is sometimes under the pig.

I would like to inform you that new Thunder and Storm cards are available now, about 10 pairs. This is the last batch for now, as the Thunderstorm team wants to focus on the Lightning VME and further developments for the wonderful TT.

If you are interested in the Thunderstorm, contact me (Matthias) directly at thunderstorm@tuxie.de, so that we can clarify the rest together there.

The price originally stated by Tuxie is now slightly higher than the first cards, because the components have become expensive and the revenues are also used to refinance the Lightning VME. I hope you heard about it ?!

The complete package for a Thunderstorm Set is 160 Euro now. There is a discount on the purchase of 2 or more sets. Of course you can also buy a Thunder or a Storm individually. Then the price is 80 euros per card.

The set of course brings the maximum performance.

For that you get per set:

- 1 Thunder card with current firmware and prepared cable
- IDE cable with a tap
- 1 storm card with current firmware and 2 x 32 MB FPM Ram, already set
- english instructions with links to German and English installation instructions and pictures
- if desired, 1 set of TOS ROMS version 3.06 in the language of your choice (German, English (UK or US), Spanish, Swedish, French) and several patches included (IDE Boot, NewLogo, RamSizeFit, Winx2.3n / Arrowfix, SHBuffer , BPatch, new TOS dialog)
- antistatic packaging
- shipping worldwide included
- help if there are problems

Best regards and thank you for the interest and your support.

Be curious about what's going to happen soon!

TT - the better Atari.
