A big thanks to Martyg, who helped us to solve the issue :D
As mentioned by Dal, in the next days, we'll change registrar.

great news! truly great news from Kristen! :)

so, one automated email and STEVE SHICKLES was ready to hand over domain name?!

it is good to see that we will act as one in cloudy times :)

btw

I think that header should state "Atari Inc." instead of "Atari Interactive"? or not :)

This is fantastic news, and most importantly shows that the current Atari administration has some kind of human face with which one can communicate in a reasonable manner. This whole business was hanging like a dark cloud these past few days, and I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling quite elated about the outcome. What faith I have left in humanity is preserved...

I completely agree.

I only took the phone call - Martyg is the guy with the magic contacts who really made this happen.

Very relieved to hear the positive outcome. I know you guys were working all weekend on it. Thanks for all the work to get this resolved amicably. :D

Also thanks to Kristen Keller for understanding what the Atari community is all about. It is nice to know her stance on the matter.

And to the hosting company who was ready to cave in at the first notice :megaphone: Suck It!

Heureka, maybe she passes on that the brand could get back to real good business if they do more than only keeping the property assets?

Their twitter account stopped transmitting several months ago, so I guess they're really working with a skeleton crew...

It was a smart move for Atari to not rock the boat if they are indeed that small a crew. They would have injured their reputation further by hurting fan sites. Anyway, glad it all worked out and a big thanks to all involved.

Many thanks everyone involved :) Great work!

And the most important thing is to know that Atari isn't hunting it's loyal fanbase. Gives a great motivation boost to try to keep our little project alive too ;)

Long live Atari-Forum

Once again a huge thank you to Martyg, Dal, Brume, Mug and all the others who give their spare time to keep this forum going. It is the backbone of the 16/32 Atari community and it would have been a terrible loss to see it damaged in this way.

And thanks to Atari too! I can see why they might voraciously defend their IP, especially seeing as it is all they have left, but it is refreshing to see common sense and a bit of decency win out in the end.

Cheers guys  and stay Atari! :D
