FYI, a few hours ago I got a spam email (regular spam, nothing special) sent to the email address I used when creating an account on AtariMania. Since I use unique addresses for each site it means the spammers have gotten the address from there somehow.

I see, thanks for the information. I'll pass it to the website admin.

List is still very very long- Sadly, many people cares more about selling it for good price on Ebay, than preserving for community.

Yes it is. Fortunately many games has one version already dumped. So many of those are just either different localisations or country distributions which makes the list longer.

I wish i had some free time to compare versions inside compilations to see if there are any visible difference between original retail versions.

Wow. That list is still incredibly long.

I'm assuming that when you list a game with a specific country that you have
other versions of that game? For example, if the listing ends in "France", you
don't want a USA version?

Thanks.

In case of compilations, which were more popular in later years of Atari era, they often used packing to reduce disk numbers. Copy protection was removed in many cases - to save costs (and it had not much sense in already cracked title case), so if you compare disk contents will see it as different content, but it may be actually 100% same - considering SW self. Sometimes only title screen is changed - updated to show new publisher. In very rare cases they removed something to make it fit - like title screen, music. Did not see case that some parts of game self were cut off. In some cases there may be even some bugfix.

The list is based on what we have in the database. I'm not sure how many games has USA version for example :( All USA-version listings are based on a research from magazines like STart, Analog or ST LOG when issues has been available. So there are probably many many others which has never reviewed or issues i did not have at the time... That's the problem with such lists when the database is still not ready and constantly evolving.

Ofcourse i'm always interested in the versions which are not in AM database yet.
