im not proud of it
but you can slow step a gal FSM using a dds or a clock on button using a flip flop

and clock out what it does in hahaha led and pin state you set then clock on ... in full real time

you can do the same with ANY 'protected' ic {even use two or-gates on its voltage rails if you amplify the accepts left on the rails before the bypass
{ie remove the bypass and read the poo...}
and just clone its transactions on state set clock in control using some c and a pic or something

you end up with i feel a better breakdown of action than the original chip and code

im sorry ive hacked and cracked many things in the past :(

and i wont do it again :lol:

simply make an 'interrogation' routine

apply the written routines to the task you will find the logic here http://www.fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm34-52.pdf
just read between the lines and take notes what you want to apply to the logic

Any news on this? Did someone manage to reverse engineering the original CaTTamaran ?

Old thread but did anything come of this? Having a TT @ 48MHz would be a dream

:megaphone: A word of caution. I remember my local Atari dealer telling me he stopped installing CaTTamarans because they damaged his customer's TTs. He installed a good number of them, but ended up taking them out because of this. I don't remember what the CaTTamarans did to the TT though. :shrug:

The ThunderStorm team have been looking at TT accelerators. There is a thread over on Exxos forum https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=487

It’s nice to see the interest and the people who still have a passion to eek more out of these machines.
