Archival pixel graphics software for Atari ST - recovered from old floppies

Postby xorcerer » Tue Oct 30, 2018 8:21 pm

Hi!

Thanks to my friend's Kryoflux I was able to recover a lot of my old source codes that I was writing in 1991 (and that's been abandoned since then).

I was hoping to add some GUI before Silly Venture 2018, but I won't manage - so here's the first look at current state of this old, recovered (and buggy) software:

All I managed to do so far is changing the hardcoded ST Low resolution to hardcoded 640x480 16 colors under Hatari emulator. There's no user interface, just keyboard - but still it's a lot of fun. I've no idea when I'll be able to add GUI - hopefully before Christmas.

Enjoy this little Halloween video :)

Thanks :)

I was trying to upload here, but somehow I get 500 KiB error even though I compress pictures way below that limit.

Here's an example of what could be done with my soft (and what will be - when I get to remember how to operate it):

ETER's logotype - outlined with flood fill (it was enough to enable color decreasing function and just keep on filling) and then antialiased all over it. On top of it a few bright pixels here and there - and voilla. No fuss, under 4 minutes instant pixel art.
