HypView - Copy to clipboard

Postby Latz » Mon Oct 01, 2018 1:35 pm

Hi,

there's an annoying bug in HypView v. 0.40.0 with FreeMinT/XaAES here):
When copying selected text or complete page to clipboard, HypView appends filename "SCRAP.TXT"
to a previous existing "scrap.txt". Means:
- In /clipbrd/, a file "scrap.txt" exists (like normal).
- Open HypView, select some text and copy to clipboard (CTRL+C or right mouse button).
- Now in /clipbrd/, file is named "scrap.txtSCRAP.TXT".

File content is correct (the copied text from HypView document)
But the wrong name "destroy" the clipboard paste function for all other programs.

As HypView is open source, can anybody fix this?
This would be a great improvement!

The source is available (currently) as part of freemint itself: https://github.com/freemint/freemint. Just click on the "Clone or download" button, then "Download as zip". Hypview is in the tools folder.

I can replicate this. I've already seen in the sources what is the problem, I'll fix it tomorrow.

Hi Latz, it's fixed now. You can download the new hyp_view from FreeMiNT's snapshot section in Github.

Hello David,

Thank you very much for this fast work, incredible!!

But i´m sorry, this Github confuses me (or i´m too stupid for this  ):
Please explain how i can download a "normal program archive" there (means executable and all needed files/folders)??
I couldn´t find a "Snapshot function"...

https://freemint.github.io/#snapshots :)

(for historical reasons, hypview is still part of the freemint package)

Hi mikro,

Thank you, now i found it!
But it is only in the "main archive", not in (old school) trunk.

Edit:
Yes, works perfect!!! Thank you again, David; what a great support!
