Netsurf version for 256 colours?

Postby mzry » Wed May 16, 2018 6:36 am

Does anyone have a specially compiled version for 256 colour displays? Because as far as I can tell, Netsurf will crash on anything less than 16bit true colour. I can get it to work as long as I tell it to disable foreground and background images though, which is pretty good. I'm typing this on my ct60e Falcon right now in 800x600x256.

I know it is not the right answer to you question, so take i only as a note.

With Phantom enabled you can reach 640x480 in TC on VGA at minimum. When your LCD is capable of lower refresh rates that 60Hz, you should reach up to 800x600 non interlaced TC with the refaresh rate around 50Hz. With CT60 you will still have acceptable speed.
