Found SCSI drive replacement SSD for TT etc

Postby wongck » Thu Oct 05, 2017 12:34 am

Not that I need one for my TT, just sharing this find.

While Googling, found this that may be of use, especially TT users looking to get a SCSI SSD device. Looks like they do replacement of old SCSI devices including 50 pins SCSI.

They do not have prices on their site, so I suspect it not to be cheap.

There's a better alternative especially for Atari machines, compatible with both ACSI and SCSI: Gigafile by https://shop.inventronik.de/index.php?id_lang=2

There are prices on the site, too.
Schneider CPC464 (long retired), Atari Mega ST4 (retired), Falcon+CT2A, Falcon+CT63+CTPCI+Radeon 9250, Milan040+SCSI+Rage

There is a big chance that it will not work on old TT. For instance 10 GB Quantum Atlas from some 15 years ago works not at all.

Yes you need to get version 5. V6 might not be supported, but V5 is guaranteed.
