Unusual TT and ROMs

Postby mrbombermillzy » Thu Sep 14, 2017 8:00 pm

I feel VERY lucky. I have managed to accquire an unusual TT mainboard and within a week of that, an empty TT shell with shielding!

Anyway, apart from now being the proud owner of a lovely TT, I thought I might share some pictures of the unusual mainboard and its modified TOS ROMs here.

According to the guy I bought it from, the machine was being used in an industrial setting.(?) Not knowing: 1.) What the TT 3.0x desktop menus contain and 2.) much German, I was unable from a quick look around to notice any differences. However, there was a different logo on the bootup/self test screen. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture before disassembling the unit. I will on request however take any desktop/bootup pictures at a later date.

So now Im just waiting to get some phono connectors through the post and maybe see if I can get some UK 3.06 ROMS blown at some point to get the full benefit.

Nevertheless, even as it is, I am so happy! :P

Im still absorbing info for the TT, so not 100% sure which is which. Im thinking the SIMM board is TT/alternate RAM and the 2 similar boards are the ST ram?
