Do you want to setup Screenblaster with your Falcon to run on a TFT at 800x600@256 colors, then I have an easy instruction for you.
You can follow this instruction: http://forum.atari-home.de/index.php?to ... .msg207805
Short translation, this is based on Screenblaster III sofware (which also can be used with SB II):
0. prepare: copy the whole Screen blaster diskette to a folder on your harddrive (i have a folder called "system" where I save all system relevant software, there is also hddriver, nvdi, etc.)
1. place in auto folder, in this order:
gemram.prg/romram.prg/romspeed.prg (copys TOS rom to ram for speedup and that winx can patch it)
fpatch.prg (some fixes by ATARI for TOS 4.04)
winx.prg (solves some issues in desktop, like buffers, only 4 windows, etc.)
sblanker.prg (if you want screensaver)
bigdos.prg (optionally, but makes sense for data exchange with modern pc. it needs to be started after sblaster, otherwise it crashes. let u access on 2Gb fat partitions made by PC on CF/SD and other medias, offers drive letters c:...z: & 0:...9: if you have a lot of partitons)
mint.prg/magic.prg (if you want to start multitasking, must be the last thing in auto folder)
(... means: anything else, but the files mentioned here should have this order, otherwise it does not work, and xboot should be one of the 1st that you can deselect screenblaster for a games/demos set)
2. create folder: c:\sbr_res
3. start SB-Moni.prg from the folder where you placed in (0).
4. set sbr path to: c:\sbr_res
5. select the following four monitor settings:
save config and reboot.
Now you will get tons of resolutions for many different color depths, depending on if you have connected a VGA,SM124 or RGB monitor. See above link to atari-home.de, there are many photos in posting #19 of 800x608 on my Nec Multisync TFT 1990nxp and in posting #19 you can see what the machine offers me in different color depths before it opens the desktop, most of them (about 80%) can be displayed on my NEC. My favourite is 800x608@256.
Have fun and enjoy it!
Power without the Price. It's not a bug. It's a feature. _/|\_ATARI
