For those who need one right now, Tenox has a few in stock. You can buy them from his website. He can be reached at as@tenoware.com.

Tenox charges a very high price... I know they try to justify the price, but still it seems far to high IMO.

Developping an ECL to VGA converter is not a trivial thing. Tenox has put a lot of development effort to make this a perfect solution.

I have one and it delivers great quality. Tenox VGA is worth every penny spent.

Yes, but not that complicated either: ECL-to-TTL is a 1-chip solution! Fixing the H-position is another one. Power is a single brick (DC-to-DC) to make symmetric (+/-) 5V.
Mine has a switch and another IC for switching between VGA and Hi-Res mode, plastic housing and requires only a standard mini USB for power (for about half the price---)

My only complaint I could have for this adapter is that it uses Mini-USB instead of Micro, and my complaint there is because I have far more micro-usb cables than I do mini. otherwise this thing works great.

I admit, on your adaptor I like the fact that you use mini USB for power, and the much better looking plastic housing. The VGA/Hi-Res switch is a great idea too.

However the pictures for Hi-Res I have seen so far do not look as good as what I am getting with my Tenox VGA adaptor.

I received the video adapter TT high built by our friend CodeKiller, it works perfectly with my Samsung monitor with a resolution of 1280x960 at 72Hz in black and white.
The sharpness of the high-resolution TT is fabulous and provides a huge desktop size where many windows fit comfortably.
Cubase works perfectly and obviously the visual space is appreciated to work.
Thanks to our colleague for his contribution to the Atari scene.
ST/fm/e, STacy, Mega ST/e, TT, Falcon, C-Lab MKX... and more music tools.

[quote="CodeKiller"
- needs only 5V DC though a standard mini-B USB connector (easy to use with phone charger)
[/quote]

Concerning the +5V, I remember that an external Floppy drive was powered through the mouse port.
A DB9 female was plugged into the mouse port, the +5V driven to the floppy drive and then the cable ended with a DB9 male to chain the mouse.
This way, to external power was needed.

Guillaume.

There will be a new batch soon (but now is the Chinese new year)

The Floppy is powered from external power supply. DB9 would be nice, but those are on keyboard and would need long wire...
It could be splitted from the keyboard connector, but that needs crimping connectors and splitters and stuff --- feel free to do so, but i don't have the time for it.
