Hello, I just rebuild my Falcon. I have removed the 20 GB IDE HDD and replaced it by an IDE to dual compact flash adapter and a 32 GB Compact flash card. This works fine, I have copyied many many things onto it already.
A 2nd compact flash in the 2nd CF slot also works fine, but I hoped that I also can use a Compact-Flash to SD-Card adapter in the 2nd slot of the IDE-2-CF adapter, and then some SD cards. The advantage would be that in my notebook and a few other computers I have also SD slot. This would make data transfer from modern computer/imternet to the Falcon very easy.
But, if I plug the CF-2-SD-adapter in the CF2IDE adapter attached to Falcon's internal IDE interface, it does not care if a SD-card is inside or not, the Falcon does not start when I switch it on. Instead the monitor stays black or green and nothing happens.
Does anybody here has experience with this? Is there any chance to get this working?
(Behind using the SDcard adapter there is another idea as well: There are SD-memory cards which include Wifi connection....)
Power without the Price. It's not a bug. It's a feature. _/|\_ATARI
