You have no location defined in your Avatar so I do not know if your TOS is in German or not.
Most probably is, and it is trying to find the German version RSC.
You can fake it by making a copy of the English RSC and name it phweathd.rsc.

Glad you got it phweather working and enjoy finding out the weather elsewhere in the world (I hope you are not using it to get the weather of your town because you can just look outside the window for it).

As for PH Gmap... I reply in the PH GMap thread so that it is in one place.

thnx! it looks really nice and I use it to find out the temperature outside and forecast because CT60 boots much faster than pc :) however, for two days now it replies "no data" :( first day it worked fine...other applications can access internet over Magicnet with no probs...any ideas what could be wrong? :?

Well, i managed to solve it - I remembered that I moved the application folder from VFAT partition to 8+3 partition - same application works normally from VFAT partition.... :D And what about language? Do you plan to include language selection - my TOS is German but I use English a lot more....in this part of Europe German Ataris were far more common than English ones and you had no choice but to get German one...

Most of the networking in MIntnet or magiXnet need to use long file names to work. So you will definitely need Vfat on MagiC.

As for language, currently most of my new software, as long as someone volunteer to translate, will do auto switch of English to German.
However, there is no default settings. May be my next application will default to English if no German RSC is found.
The only way now for, phweather at least, and may the others is to fake the German RSC by replacing the English RSC with the German RSC file name.

Not sure about Magicnet, but there's nothing in MiNTnet that requires long file names. In it's most basic form MiNTnet only requires three files: ifconfig.ttp and route.ttp to configure the network, and the presence of u:\etc\resolv.conf (or "resolv.con" on 8+3 filesystems).

so you can get away with 8.3 with resolv.conf.... good to know that. :D

Dear all,

I would like to back to problem with Phweather, but now it is not working on my Hades. When I copied from falcon to hades all programm with cfg file after a few minutes it will crash.
If downloaded from website and new install and run the computer. Later I want configure and set to my city (Krakow) and press the button OK, immediately crash.

Can anyone verify this also for hades, my system is MiNT 1.18+xaaes+Thing 1.29.

Best Regards
Kroll

can you copy your phweather.cfg from your falcon?

I am not sure why it crashes but it is running for more than 30 mins on my ct63 now.

Hi

Today I copied CFG file from falcon but still the same, Illegal instruction.
I thought and installed the CPU versions for 68K and work more than 20 minutes. Thanks again

The 68020-68060 version should work for 040 as well.
It's is all done by the compiler so I do not know why it did not work.
May be it is some options that I must put when compiling but I do not know.

Anyway, hope that the 68000 version works for you.

well good things don't last.
Read from another forum that MSN weather will be offline on 15 April 2015.
Unfortunately some features are already gone. Only the core weather data is still online. But phweather needs the gone features to work. :-(

Looks like there's no workaround
or till another free service is found.

Thanks Wongck for this update, I was missing one of my favorite app :-)

It's working great. I just have just one issue : details and forecast don't work.
I have tried with different cities, Mexico City, London, Paris, New York ... same issue.
Is it a funccion to be implemented later ?

All features are implemented.

Try using on 1city first. Then increase gradually. I did not impose any limits.
