M27C4002-10C1 Manu:ST Encapsulation:PLCC-44,4 Mbit 256Kb x16 UV EPROM and OTP

ok i have 8 of these 100ns refresh OTP for st book and falcon
ive programed 3 with 4.04
and ive 5 left
i owe 1 and promised 2
that leaves 5 blank left for others just now
if you need 4.04 i hope soon st book english, german is not a problem i think if a french language book user need also dump it
i speak ok french
let me know and ill account for it
i ordered 4 X eprom plcc chips they are 120ns but hey you can reflash them
i plan to add one to my falcon as 120 is aok just about for 60ns ram and the system with nemesis ive settled on {40/20 max}
so hey get too it and order a rom
£10 per OTP + post all in and for the eproms the same
i can get more if people prefer eprom ie windowed chips that can be reflashed
you never know you can always stimulate development by using them
as for flash tos it need's a good bit of work and fine solder to do it but its not too hard
all the hard work has been done in already mixed work between levels

i think an eprom can be re-flashed 1000 times maybe if you follow the temp and max erase at a temp rule!!!
i think the best way to treat eproms is to heat them up to around 30 deg before erase for 5 mins max
then to program you need to chill them to ~1deg i read lots !!! if you don't think i am right let me know
this way they are sub atomically {electron group} temp weighted cells correct within (max-min) range
as most chips range from -40 to +40 at least

here are the links i got the ic's on ebay if you dont with me to flash and send them tested
this is the eproms link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HITACHI-HN27C40 ... 231f328e16
here is the OTP link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/M27C4002-10C1-M ... 0894150248?

well views
falcon or other boot dev {i know it can maybe use 2.06 this way its simple if you add cf etc i will add two versions of stbook english patched and not
the patch removes the 4 bomb error if a partition fails }

i got a riser 16MB card from a member for my falcon he mounts the simm above
so there is space to mount two TOS ics piggyback and just switch there OE pin
from the main board to choose

just an idea

maybe a pcb above the tos chip mounted
and switch the OE between the flash tos via a small pcb and ribbon to a board
and the mounted tos chip
with a piggyback board

ok i have finally received the OTP and EPROM 27C4001
the OTP {one time program } is 100ns refresh {good for 60ns RAM and 0 wait states setting using U46 etc pads}
the eproms are actual windowed eproms so can be re-flashed as needed

i want to keep at least 2 OTP and 2EPROMS for the stbook english rom image if it arrives from the computer museum

the cost is £10 per ic programmed and tested both types + postage international cheep rate {as its only 1 ic } ill send for about £2 or so

so 12 quid total for a e/prom either type

i just wish the computer museum guy would send me the uk or us rom image for the book
its the last thing i need now
i think ill keep an eprom for my own falcon

so the stocks i have just now is

5 OTP @ 4.04 2 spare one swallowed by the programmer
4 EPROMS 27C4096-150ns seems the seller sent me 150ns eproms my programmer does not like 4096 type too much
ill use another one i have for anyone who wants one made up cheep chinese crap programmer again
but atleast it works for most type fine
bo ho,...

ill try to source some 100ns eproms plcc 44pin better is 4002 type more robust

if you dont laugh you cry

ive got 9 OTP in stock 4002 -100ns http://www.ebay.com/itm/110894150248?ss ... 1497.l2649

tos 4.04 i have 0 done and older tos roms 4.02 4.01 etc i have a few now

but are on slow roms 120 - 200 ns POOR

older tos deserves a fast rom !!! 100ns is kool with 16MB 60ns provided the falcons wait states are hastens

i am working on a plug in 44pin plcc to 4 slot board
populate at will change jumper to enable on the stack type
and a socket to wire into ..
so can be automated

ill leave a socket on it for 29F type plcc and a few extra pins on the added socket

plan its price AS A bare board price of a 5 er + post plug in your own rom anyway and expand
hoping to get the others involved to make flash an extension to the falcon also

flash rom socket or perhaps 2 flash rom and two tos versions ... default and added or something

im designing it now

but just plug it in {bare board just sockets and interface port plug{solders}}
plug in a normal rom anyway

you do need more space under the DRAM so perhaps im not sure this hahahahah will also fit under even the underside mounted 16MB simm board made in 1990's so its just a pcb with the slim line 44pin plcc plug and 4X 44pin plcc scokets jumpers and a connection port for solders and rs232 etc port for control

one eprom based set controller
so one socket acts as control no need of FSM or GAL etc hard to use ics just words from a reusable socket

ok FALCON users U46 solder blobs

if you change the rom and have also changed the DRAM to a simm ie 60ns fast pages 16MB 72 pin

i use only fast 100ns refresh OTP { 8 available} so zero wait state for the rom is aok...

so follow the guide here
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=24256
to set the jumper blobs
{just above and to the left of the internal expansion port

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Lot-5-piece ... 43de139b66

i got two lots of 5 quite cheep less than £4.50 each so this aok
other sellers want an eye watering £55 is the most expensive plcc ive seen and it wasnt windowed for erase

http://www.datasheetarchive.com/dlmain/ ... 000063.pdf

datsheet for 4096 used in falcon and STbook
stbook uses a 27C4096CC
falcon uses a PC240 {27C4002 or 4096}

your programmer should show ID as 000F with the above if it doesnt dont try to program and seek an issue
ive had issues with the minipro and some eproms
willem takes care of them all!! with a few mods

you can also pick up eprom versions for about 8-20$ each from the states
like here http://www.ebay.com/itm/HITACHI-HN27C40 ... 563782224f

or from china 10 for £32
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HITACHI-HN27C40 ... 2572743d62

nice chips 120ns seems or 150ns not sure you can ask
with a bit of finding youll get 90ns ones for the falcon stbook is more than happy with 120 or 100ns
quite handy if you want to muck around with the various tos around for each platform its used in
