Crow of Creation - Falcon

Postby Nick Harllow » Thu Apr 22, 2010 6:10 pm

Just sold my last Crown of Creation original and it hasn't survived well as one of the disks is corrupt.

As this is a original I was wondering does anyone have images of the original disks so I can send them to my customer? Not looking for crack or menus(are there cracked versions?, not certain, don't want to know). I am sure I can arrange some kind of recompense.

If you do please contact me at

nick@1632systems.co.uk - or PM me..

Thanks in advance

There is definitely no crack of CoC as nobody managed to beat the DSP-Protection routine.

So if Nick's ran out how are we going to get this game?

Calimero: Yes it has never been cracked before. The cracker needs some tough knowledge about coding the DSP to do that... and imho there are only a few people who might have this but they are not active anymore.

Using the DSP was really very clever, since it is so radically different from anything else to program (according to my dad at least, who did try a bit of DSP assembly programming back in the day).
Looks like the rest of us active people really ought to learn more about it.

There was an crack of it.. but thing is.. the game itself is hard to finish. so the protection was broken atleast 80% into the game. as it was never finilized in gamin way... But again.. why doesnt the today active haxxors fix this in notime?

as its proven that cracks do save history in one or another way

so 030falcon030, you did it (crack it)?

so if there is no more original to sell is it possible to release you crack? :)

It´s a real pitty that CoC3D isn´t available new anymore :( I love that game and own 2 originals and I think I will keep them if the disks fail!

@Nick: I would give you an image of my disks, but it won´t help your customer! They still are not treated as original game disks by the installer! No chance!!! I tried that a million times, with different copy programs... I will try at work one day and use the disk clone function and a hex editor, maybe that´ll work, but I never tried that with anything else than a harddisk...

Crown of Creation 3D has been made by Rebelsoft. The head of the Rebelsoft team was Björn Vortisch from Germany. Unfortunately it is hard to get in contact with him these days. :-/

Sources are not available anymore as far as I know... Björn had a harddisc-crash as far as I remember... I was in touch with him a few years ago when I was working on fading twilight and trying to get the modfiles from the game.

@MacFalcon: Can you copy the disks with PASTI so that we at least have a preserved copy. Its not inconceivable for both your copies to go belly up and then there'll be none.... 8O
TT030: 4MB/16MB + Crazy Dots, Mega"SST" 12, STacy 2, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Pasti doesn't run on Falcon, and my guess is that the disks are in HD-format so basic ST-setup won't work. Might work with Mega STE and HD-diskdrive...

Will the power Blitz copier work with HD disks?

Sorry guys, I do not quite understand.

The copy protection is in hardware; as in on the floppy disc and it is checked with the 56001? How is that done? The 56001 has no direct access to the floppy drive. Any comment is very appreciated.

Another good reason to ask for making a Pasti library open source.

So what did they do get bored and delete their progress? Is this hack still around on one of their systems? When were they making it?
Cos I can't recall ever finding it floating about anyway or finding any more than rumours about it.
