I've always wanted to play this game and this video just made me want to play it more. Does the game have music in-game? I ask because it seems that the music in the video was spiced in.

To be fair, this was running on an Atari Falcon. There are also other powerful Amigas too however.

The music was added in, there is no music in the game itself. The tune is familiar but I can't remember the composer, Stax I think?

To be read at the end of the video we see who made the music. It was TSCC with "Subglieb". The game itself had a intro music that did not work on the 040 Falcons because of the Groumpf Tracker the 040 didn´t like. CoC needed most of it´s power for the 3D gaming experience so there was no music in action.

I'd really like to play this someday... I think it has some kind of DSP protection?

Yeah a nasty DSP protection it was...

it was 80% hacked in the early 2k. but halted... not becourse of the protection.. coz of lame Game-Tester :P.

So the Authors did a great job! :)

Is it just a Star Wars type simple shooter or is there any depth on the gameplay like on Elite?

I am not sure what you expect as a depth. Your job is to accomplish missions for the headquarter.

BTW does anyone have any settings for the game so as to work correctly with a CT63?

No, you should have prefered to buy a Afterburner040 instead because Crown of Creation 3D has been made for that too! I wonder why so many people love the CT while interesting things don´t work with it. O.o

we will see if that new coldfire atari clone will sell or not, it's the same situation with Ct63 - compatibility with non-Gem apps.

I've written an article regarding the CT63 in the latest issue of lowres. Well my reasons for CT63 over afterburner are very easy to figure out...

1. It's available
2. It's much easier to install (no soldering).
3. It's faster and with more memory (makes it easier to compile gnu stuff)
4. It has exclusive stuff (demos etc)

I am not quite sure what the level of afterburner compatibility is but I can imagine it's better than the CT but not that much better.

Anyway, if someone could provide the setting files for either AB040 or CT2 I'd like to try them.

The game runs but the graphics are corrupted...

Okay, let´s try to solve this problem. O.o Sometimes I can get corrupted graphics with the AB040 too if I turn on the copy-back mode of the CPU. Please try to switch to the write-through mode if possible, that should be the default mode.

I am not quite sure there's that mode in the 060? I have tried switching the cache off but I got the same problem..

At least I can't find it in the cpx.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll reread the docs incase I find something relevant :)
