Looking for an old Falcon demo!

Postby jamiller27 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:12 pm

Hi Guy's
I'm trying to track down an old demo i had for my Falcon and wondered if any of you could help?

I got it from a PD library in about 1994 or 95 i think. It was a music demo and each key of the keyboard started a new track.
The main screen had a giant dragon on it, and it was the same graphic you can see on the www.atari.org website at the top!!!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Going by process of elimination.

This might be it. Not a pixel-perfect match to the atari.org dragon, but close.

I don't think this is it, kind of in the right area, and maybe worth checking out anyway :D

If neither of those are 'it', anyone else got any ideas?

Hmmmm that looks familiar! I recognise that background, but im sure the dragon was in the same pose as on atari.org and it didnt have the list of music, i always had to guess which key was my favourite track
Perhaps that screen shot is of an options screen or something? Hence the different dragon pose?

I dont currently have a Falcon so cant test it. Is anyone able to download & run the demo? And even take a video? :P

Some more info!
Just found a PDF of "Atari World" issue 6 on the net and was having a flick through. There's an advert for "The Floppyshop", and im pretty certain thats where i got the demo from. I remember now, the floppy was black with a white sticker with floppyshop printed on it in purple and the "Fxxxx" catalogue number.
I ordered 2 disks, one being the demo i'm after, & the other was "killing impact" :)

Its all coming flooding back now! 8)

Anyone got a PDF of the floppyshop catalogue?

I am not sure I have seen that one.

Dragon pic and alphabet selection musicdisk? I am sure I would recall seeing the Atari.org logo in a demo?

Only Dragon related one I can think of at the moment is the KEFF demo by AN Cool
