Dead? Maybe not, but...

Postby Stratagem » Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:47 pm

...nothing happens since a very very long time. I'm not really happy about this situation, but if you don't like it you can lump it. Any change in your life is somehow a step forward and since there is no contact to the other members, my step now is to drop my membership at Reservoir Gods...

Thanks to all members @ RG - it was a very funny & cool time...

Cheers

The silence so far isn't a good sign :-/

:?

it feels odd discussing this on a public forum but anyway...

Strats I know you've been pissed off for ages about the state of affairs in camp, I respect that, but as I always said mate, lets keep it in perspective, we're all... well lets just say none of us are getting any younger, and at this kind of point in life it should come as no suprise that sometimes people have more important priorities than investing serious time into atari. that is the simple truth mate. this is 2006 not 1988!

for me its only ever been about a good bunch of mates and ocassionally if the mood took me, a bit of creativity on an interesting platform, nothing more nothing less.

rg might be going through a quiet spell at the moment but lets put it into perspective, so has 90% of the entire scene for the last 8 years!! I for one won't be made to feel 'guilty' for our lack of activity at the moment, in fact when I think how active rg has been over the last few years, it kind of pisses me off that people almost expect stuff from us!

tscc said it best: "No promises, no demands".

anyway enough from me, Strats, seriously, all the best mate, good luck with everything, i'm sure i'll see you one day soon. remember the good times mate! I will :)

Well, i'm not really pissed, maybe a little bit...

And yes, it's 2006, which doesn't mean in 2006 all communcation stopped.. :?

anyway, it's not a bad meaning, i just wanna spend some time for this machine to keep this scene also a little alive. If not within RG, than somewhere else. @RG the last 1.5 / 2 years have been almost like an endless winter sleep..

Forgive me jumping in here (or don't), but I seem to remember at least one of the members of RG attending the Outline thingy this year (2006) in the Nether Regions...
Just seems odd that they/he/she would be so hard to contact yet readily available in person at scener events....

Either way Stratagem, if you are looking for a project to get involved in here - a most noble cause - , then there are many users with projects crying out for coders, you should have no problem finding something to contribute to.

I will not go down into middle-aged old-fartdom without a fight, dunno about anyone else ;-)

this is 2006 not 1988!

Surely 1998 is more accurate in this case? In 1988, Pink and co would be scrumping apples, and think that 'Skooldaze' on the Speccy would have been a hyper-realistic and gritty account of their day to day existence!

it kind of pisses me off that people almost expect stuff from us!

Bearing in mind previous non-communication for a long time, clearing the air is a good idea, not quite sure if I'd have done it like that though ;-)

Anyway, I'm cool with the idea of 'no promises, no demands', I hope things work out for you all, and look forward to seeing you at a party sometime.

RG is still going? Since when? I thought we gave up years ago...

Long live RG!

So why does my sh3@rg email not work anymore? See, that was a dead give away... we're dead & we know we are.

Kev, your email doesn't work anymore since the whole homepage has been moved to ATARI.ORG, mail accounts haven't been transfered... I've written an email to you guys regarding to this, but no answers / reactions or anything..

But i'm pretty sure you still have an email account ;-)

sign of life!

Postby MacFalcon » Mon Apr 30, 2007 1:56 pm

Hello Gods,

you have been and still are my personal heroes in the Atari world. Clogged Up for example still is one of the most played games in our family. Everyone loves it. Not to mention your great falcon only games (skyfall, tautology2, bubble bobble...) and excellent emulators (still waiting for godboy release of teenage mutant hero turtles :)). Every year there was a highlight at x-mas when the gods released their new game.

Unfortunately these days seem to be gone! I wish the would come back one day, or there will at least be a few more releases.

If you really stopped coding the Atari for ever you will still be heroes (and I´d be very sad) but if you did then please share at least your sources and spread them to the community that someone could keep on your good work and maybe port godboy to ct60 ;)

Sure we all won´t get younger, I also did marry, got a little daughter and have more serious things to do then spending my time with the Atari, but I would never in this fu%$/&( life quit the fu%$/&( scene !!!

Stay different, stay atari!

Many new releases and lots of fun to all of you!

The king is slain, long live the king!

Mac
Falcon060, 100/25 MHz, 256 MB SD-RAM, PhantomPBS, CTPCI with Radeon, USB and Network Card. atari rulez!

Is it? You're right - it is! For the guys which haven't been at Outline and/or IRC - i've re-joined Reservoir Gods to fight against bugs and more...
